Children’s Services Health & CACFP Coordinator (Sanford, ME)

35 hours/week; 48 weeks/year

Rate: $18.53/hr

The Health and CACFP Coordinator functions as an integral member of the Head Start Team by performing administration and monitoring aspects of the Health and Nutrition components. The ideal candidate: • Is someone who has a passion to make a difference and wants to have a positive impact on the lives of young children and families of York County. • Is someone who has experience in the areas of health and nutrition in an early childhood setting, as well as USDA or CACFP program experience

Job Responsibilities: • Functions as an administrative team member under the direction of the Health and Nutrition Manager. • Is responsible for ensuring data entry and quality of health information for each child within the ChildPlus database is accurate and available • Reviews incoming children’s immunizations and health needs prior to attaining Health and Nutrition Manager’s signature on the enrollment tracking form. • Completes the monthly CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) claim • Completes CACFP and sanitation monitoring at classrooms throughout York County • This position works closely with the other members of the management and administrative team to coordinate tasks and to ensure two-way communication as to the needs of the individual child.

Educational Requirements& Experience: • Applicants must have a high school diploma, GED or HSE equivalent. • Experience working in a data management system, such as ChildPlus or PROMIS, is desired • Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written. • Must have good computer skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail. • Must not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.
