Children’s Services Head Start Teacher Pre-K: $1,500 sign on Bonus (Biddeford, ME)

37.5 Hour Position/School Year

Location: JFK Memorial School (Biddeford Public School)

The purpose of the Head Start Teacher position is to provide a positive, welcoming, safe environment where children and families can thrive. The ideal candidate: Is someone who has a passion to make a difference and wants to have a positive impact on the lives of young children and families of York County.

Job Responsibilities: The Head Start Teacher is responsible for assisting with planning, implementing, and documenting an effective, comprehensive child development program. Developing and maintaining partnerships with families. Contributes to ensuring the agency’s full compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards and Maine State Licensing Requirements.

Educational Requirements& Experience: Current Education Technician II or higher. Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field is preferred. However, we will accept a candidate that is enrolled in and Associate or Baccalaureate Degree program as long as they have 60 credits in an approved study in an educational related field. Completed CHRC (Criminal History Record Check). Must have experience in an early childhood setting. Must be an open, warm, caring and accepting person, and willing to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the families.
